Hi, I’m Kim!
…an optimist’s optimist who enjoys time in nature, finding beauty in the little things, helping others, doing too many craft projects at once, finding ways to live life more meaningfully and organized, and diving into honest conversations on the regular.
I love finding new trails to hike with my husband, Greg, as we talk about life and breathe in fresh air.
I also like time outside attempting to run and gardening (which really just feels like pulling weeds).
As a board certified music therapist, I primarily work in hospice care, oncology, dementia care, and supporting caregivers. I have a passion for music therapy development and am working to bring this much-needed service to more people and agencies around Rochester.
My husband, Greg, and I run music can help, a brand helping people rediscover music as a source of health. We do this through events, small groups, and apparel.
One of the things I love to do for fun is CREATE! …in various mediums. I’m currently pressing flowers, embroidering, and making collages. Here and there I host craft & tea nights where we come together as makers, dust off our projects, and spend time together (virtually and in-person).
I love finding new solutions to organization and working on home projects whenever I have some extra time. I aspire to live a slow, peace-filled life, always starting with a cup of tea.
I am energized by writing, sharing my stories and hearing others’, and telling the lived experiences of music therapists. Not Your Average Music Therapist is a podcast for music therapists to feel less alone in this challenging but impactful work.

When I am in a creative flow, I write poetically. When I am brave, I share my poetry. You’ll find the bravely shared poems over on Substack and can anxiously await my next inspired and courageous day.
There are regular opportunities to connect, like in-person or virtual events, Instagram (my favorite photo app which has changed so much since its golden years), and personalized spaces with coaching and music therapy.
I hope you find something here that sparks joy, helps you in life and work, and takes you deeper into your truest self.
Before departing from this page, let’s take a nice, deep breath together.
All my love,
