Observation, a poem

Absence is a funny thing.

You see her fingerprints everywhere,

Her smile in the way things are decorated.

Loss is a funny thing.

Her voice echoes from the answering machine,

Strands of hair found in unassuming places.

Death is a funny thing.

Pictures are more alive than ever,

A gravestone like holding her hand.
