The song the soul has to sing.
The song the soul has to sing.
It’s authentic in its journey to the surface
Made of pain, shame, blame and beauty
Pure in its reflection of the imperfection of man
Notes don’t capture the essence
But your voice does
Sing.
Sing me the song of your soul.
I just spent the last hour listening back to the voice memo recordings I had on my phone from 5, 6, 7 years ago. I was a different me. But still me.
I sang myself lullabies for babies, reflective chants for funerals, and raw emotions from the heart. I walked from professional into personal and back again. These songs carried me.
They sang to me. They sang with me. They held my feelings in hand, hand in hand if you will.
Sing yourself a song. Breathe yourself a breath. Create with all of the pain inside. Your heart is longing to give you a gift in the future.
