Valuing Music As Wellness
I think if you’ve stumbled upon this site and you’re reading these words, you’re already in the pool of people who value music. And further, I bet you see the impact music makes on wellness, whether your own or others’. You may even understand behind the brain’s response to music and how that can effect someone’s wellbeing.
Thank you.
Thank you for seeing, hearing, and understanding the depth of music’s impression on a person’s life. Thank you for giving an abundance of worth to melody, harmony, rhythm, structure, and lyrics. These elements go far beyond their definitions to save a life and heal another. Music is the one thing, that time and time again I hear, saves people. It is a lifeline, a safety boat, Benadryl to an allergic reaction. Music is powerful.
I am grateful that I am in good company with you here, and I hope you find value in being here as well. Your life is worth so much and your place in this world is not forgotten. You are worthy of all the love in the world. And I hope you’ve found music to be valuable in your everyday as well.
Because you value music, I wanted to give you an opportunity to join my team of supporters. You may know about music therapy, and if not please read some previous posts, but it is just that: music and wellness. Music therapy combines the elements of music with the elements of therapy. It helps people with their wellness and assists in recovery with musical interventions provided by a trained and certified music therapist. I have loved the work I’ve done as a music therapist, and I hope to continue for a long time. I have clients, old and young, who benefit each week from music therapy services.
But one thing is bugging me. I can only work with the wealthy. Insurance does not cover music therapy services (big surprise), and my heart aches for all of those people signing up for music therapy services that I have to turn away. I don’t want to turn people away from a service that could save their life.
Join the team.
I know there are people out there who would love a chance to support those who can’t afford music therapy sessions, and so here is my ask. Join the team of music therapy supporters, those who value music as wellness and want to see a world where people are supported by music therapy. Check out the video and options on this page (click here) to see how you can help.
Like always, please to not feel pressured to give anything. You can always help out by sharing this post and telling others about this opportunity to support others.
Sending love your way. 💕Hope you’ve got some good tunes playing on your speakers today! 🎧
