When Outside Is Scary
It’s weird to think that the safest space we have right now is inside our homes. When we step outside there’s this whole unknown world with an invisible virus going around. How can we possibly protect ourselves when we can’t see the virus!
This fear is SO REAL. All the masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer can’t erase the real feeling of uneasiness when we open the door and step outside.
But it’s so important to get outside. It’s so important to breathe in fresh air and get some sunshine (yay, vitamin D!) on our faces. It’s important for our eyes to see the colors of nature and our ears to hear the sounds of life. Thank god for technology, zoom calls, social media, etc., but there’s nothing like the raw, unfiltered beauty of nature.
I’m taking my chances, and trying to force myself outside each day, even with these chilly Rochester days.
What is your favorite thing to do outside while socially distancing?
