Crafts & Tea Nights Coming Back!

Crafts & Tea Nights Coming Back!

I’m getting excited, you guys! This is something I’ve been sitting on for a long time now, and finally (funny enough, during quarantine) it’s happening!

Once upon a time when I lived in Minneapolis, MN, I wanted to connect with other ladies. Honestly, I wanted to make friends. And I wanted other people to have the opportunity to make friends. And mind you, this was pre-#kimbestcreative. This was before I started writing in calligraphy. And maybe, this was what brought on the creative exploration leading me to learn calligraphy! How cool!

My dear sisters out in Minnesota, I miss you so much. I remember our craft and tea nights with a smile. We gathered in our Uptown apartment (that was the best place we’ve ever lived!) on those cool MN nights, and just hung out. We brought whatever crafts we could find lying around our homes. I took out ALL OF THE CRAFTS SUPPLIES I OWNED (haha, definitely got rid of some of those supplies in the move). And we enjoyed each other’s company.

There were times where we didn’t even get to working on our crafts. There were times where all we did was work on our projects. There were times when we tried tea we didn’t like. And there were times we met a sweet new person who became a friend.

I’m looking to do this again. Now I know, I live in a different place. I am older (and wiser?). I am not a part of the same faith group I used belong to. And I no longer do calligraphy on a regular basis. Boy does life change in a short amount of time!

But what still remains is that desire to connect. That longing to make lifelong friendships. I want to be with other people who enjoy the same things as I do. And I want to chat with people whose lives look so much different from mine.

Well, what do you think? Want to come to a craft and tea night and see what it’s all about? Let me preface, it won’t blow you away. It’s pretty simple and casual, and every night is different (depending on who joins and how much talking we’re in the mood for 😊).

I can’t wait to get this back up and running. And I LOVE how I can now invite as many people as I want and whomever I want from around the country (and world 😏). We’ll see how things go and how they feel. If we want to dedicate certain nights for specific projects, let’s totally do that! If we want some music turned on for the night… yes! And if consistent craft nights are not of interest, no biggy. I can’t wait to see where this goes.

Happy crafting, my friends. I hope to see you soon!
